The early-stage track of the Kiruna 2029 programme, and the only one an individual artist can enter alone. For ideas that might become commissions for the Capital of Culture year.

Test an Idea covers early-stage ideas with potential to become future projects; deadline 31 December 2026. The parallel Artistic Project track closed 31 October 2026 and requires an organisation as lead applicant. Who can apply

Individuals may apply through the Test an Idea track. The larger Artistic Project track normally requires an organisation that can handle finances and administration, so it is not listed here.
