GBP 20,000 to let a mid-career painter stop doing everything else for up to 26 weeks. Unusually, the award is explicitly aimed at artists whose practice is squeezed by employment or caring, not at the newly graduated.
GBP 20,000 so the recipient can devote herself exclusively to painting for a period of up to 26 weeks, free of employment or caring commitments. Submission through Submittable. Deadline 5pm.
Who can apply
Mid-career painters at least fifteen years beyond art school, or with fifteen or more years of substantive practice. Born in Scotland or resident there for at least three consecutive years. Not currently enrolled in study. Must be able to commit exclusively to painting for up to 26 weeks.
